WAIT AND SEE (2025-ONGOING)

42 minutes

Wait and See is a film blends documentary and fiction to explore the current state of Russian society and the ways politics shape both the nation and individual lives. Through interviews, observational footage, and the narration of a fictional deceased character speaking from the U.S. to his mother in Russia, the film reflects on memory, propaganda, and generational repression. Interwoven glimpses of American life highlight unsettling parallels between two political climates. The work examines how authoritarianism evolves gradually, becoming normalized and invisible, while blurring the boundaries between the personal and the political.
